New Years Eve / New Years Day Contest
2009 / 2010
The aim of this contest will be to hear up to five amateur radio stations per band on each of the HF bands in as many DXCC Countries as possible between 0001hrs 31/12/09 and 2359hrs 01/01/10
Logs must show Callsign, MHZ, UTC, Date, RS, Country, Points
Claimed.

Scores will be one point for station in own Continent and 2 points for all other stations with the final score being the total points multiplied by the total number of Countries logged (Five stations can be logged in each Country on each band but Countries count only once as a multiplier).
EA8/G4RTU counts as EA8 Canary Islands, DL6TYU/CT counts as CT Portugal. /P or /MM will not count.

North Atlantic (N.A.T) HF Airband Contest
The object is to hear as many flights as possible on the North Atlantic (NAT) HF air bands.
The contest will run from 0001hrs 09/01 to 2359hrs 10/01.
Logs must show Callsign, MHZ, UTC, Date, Airline, Points
Claimed.
(BA115 5598 1030 10/01 British A/W 1).
Scores will be one point for airlines based in the UK, and two points for all other airlines. The final score will be the total number of points multiplied by the total number of Airlines (Airlines count once only as the multiplier).
The same Aircraft can be heard once on each frequency.

Amateur Radio Worked All Europe Contest
Hear up to five Amateur stations in each Country on the Continent of Europe including the European parts of Russia and Turkey.
Logs must show Callsign, Mhz, UTC, Date, RS, Country, Points.

G3***/EA will count as Spain, DL*/G3*** will count as Germany, /M and /P will not count for this contest.
The Contest will run from 0001hrs 23/01 up to 2359hrs 24/01.
Scores will be one point for each station, the final score will be the total points multiplied by the total number of Countries logged.
Logs must reach the contest manager by the 28th February 2010.

VHF Airbands Frequencies Contest
The aim being to hear as many flights as possible on the VHF Air Bands. between 0001hrs February 6th and 2359hrs February 7th.
Flights can be logged once only.
Logs must show Flight, MHZ, UTC, Date, Airline, Points.

Scores will be 1 point for aircraft based in the UK, with 2 points for all other aircraft, with a final score of total points multplied by total Airlines logged.

Single Band Contest 20 Metres
The aim of this contest is to hear up to five Amateur Stations in as many Countries as possible on the 20m HF band.
The contest will run between 0001hrs 20th and 2359hrs 21st February.
Scores will be 1 point for stations in own Continent, 2 points for all other stations, the final score will be total points multiplied by the total number of Countries logged (Countries count once only as the multiplier).

ARRL Weekend DXCC Contest
The Contest will run during the ARRL weekend contest from 0001hrs 06/03 up to 2359hrs 07/03.
The aim of the contest is to hear as many Amateur radio stations as possible on the HF Amateur radio bands.
The same station can be logged once on each band.
Scores will be one point for each station with the final score being the total points multiplied by the total Countries logged. (Countries count once as a multiplier).
Logs must show Callsign, MHZ, UTC, Date, Country, Points.

CQWPX Weekend Prefix Contest
The Contest will run during the CQWW weekend contest from 0001hrs 27/03 up to 2359hrs 28/03. The aim of the contest is to hear as many prefixes as possible on the Amateur bands. Prefixes will count once only. ( GW4 on 80m will not count on any other band).
Scores will be one point each prefix, with the final score being the total points multiplied by the total Countries logged. (Countries only count once as a multiplier).

Points.

Easter Holidays DXCC HF Contest
The aim of this Contest is to hear up to five Amateur Stations per Country on the HF bands (including WARC).
Scores will be one point per stations, with the final score being the total points multiplied by the total number of Countries logged (Countries count once only as the multiplier).
Logs must show Callsign, MHZ, UTC, Date, Country, Points.

Any Ten Hours HF Amateur Bands Contest
The aim is to hear up to five stations per Country in as many Countries as possible during a time period of ten hours of your choice, the time can be split in hourly portions. The ten hours must be between the 23rd April and the 28th April (Friday to Wednesday).
Logs must show Callsign, MHZ, UTC, Date, RS, Country, Points.

The aim being to hear as many flights as possible on the VHF
Air Bands between 0001hrs Saturday 1st and 2359hrs Monday 3rd May.
Flights can be logged once only.

The object of the Contest is to hear up to ten stations per state in as many states as possible.
The Contest will run from 0001hrs 22/05 up to 2359hrs on 23/05 (Saturday and Sunday)

North Atlantic Selcall Contest
The aim of this Contest is to hear as many Selcalls as possible on the HF air bands between 0001hrs on June 5th upto 2359hrs 6th June (Saturday and Sunday).
Logs must show Selcall, Flight No, Frequency, UTC, Date,
Airline, Points.
(BPFH, AA106, 5616 0845, 06/06, American Airlines).
Scores will be 1 point for each flight logged, the final score will be total points x the total number of Airlines logged (Airlines count once only a multiplier).
Selcalls can only be logged once unless used by different Airlines.

United Kingdom Post Code Contest
The aim of this contest is to hear one station per area from as many UK postcode areas as possible between 0001hrs 19/06 and 2359hrs 20/06 (Saturday and Sunday)
Only the first part of the postcode are needed, e.g NE25, CW1,
etc.
Only one station allowed in each area.
Scores will be 1 point per station, with the final score being the total points mulitplied by the total number of post code districts logged.
NE25 is a area, NE is a district.
Log must show Callsign, MHZ, UTC, Date, Area, District, Points.

Selected Amateur Radio Bands Contest
The aim of this contest is to hear up to five Amateur Stations in as many Countries as possible on the HF band of your choice.
The contest will run between 0001hrs 3rd July and 2359hrs 4th July.
Scores will be 1 point for stations in own Continent, 2 points for all other stations, the final score will be total points multiplied by the total number of Countries logged (Countries count once only as the multiplier).
Logs must show call sign, MHZ, UTC, Date, Country, Points.

Islands on the Air Contest
The above Contest will run from 0001hrs 24/07 up to 2359hrs 25/07 (this is the RSGB IOTA Weekend).
The aim will be to hear as many Islands on the Air as possible during the contest times on any of the amateur radio HF bands. Islands will count once on each band, the scores will be one point per contact with the total score being the totals on each band added together.

World Wide Air Traffic Control Contest
The aim being to hear as many flights as possible on the VHF/HF
Air Bands. between 0001hrs 07/08 and 2359hrs 08/08
(Saturday and Sunday).
Flights can be logged once only on VHF and HF.
Logs must show Flight, MHZ, UTC, Date, Airline, Points, Bonus.

Scores will be 1 point for aircraft based in the UK, with 2 points for all other aircraft and one bonus point for flights heard on VHF and HF, with a final score of the total points multiplied by total Airlines logged.

The International Lighthouse Weekend Contest
The aim is to hear as many amateur radio stations as possible operating at or adjacent to a Light/Lighthouse during the Lighthouse weekend (ILLW).
To allow for the fact that stations will be operating at local times this Contest will operate from 1800hrs 20/08 up to 0800hrs 23/08. (this is to allow the logging of stations outside the UK which are ahead or behind our time)

The aim of this contest is to hear up to five Amateur Radio stations per Country per HF band in as many Countries as possible on the Continents of North and South America monitoring any of the HF bands.
The contest will run from 0001hrs 25/09 up to 2359hrs 26/09 (Saturday and Sunday)

Jamboree on the Air Contest
The object is to hear as many Amateur radio operated Scout (JOTA) stations as possible on all of the HF bands between 0001hrs 16/10 and 2359hrs 17/10 (Sat/Sun).
Logs must show Callsign, MHZ, UTC, Date, RS, Scout Group, Country.
Scores will be one point per station, plus 5 bonus points for logging the GB4BVD call. The final score will be the total number of points x the total number of Countries logged (Countries count once only as the muliplier). /P and /M count for this contest
A Scout station can be logged once only on each band.

The aim of the contest is to hear as many flights as possible on the HF Airbands. Flights can be logged once only.
The contest will run from 0000hrs 06/11 upto 2359hrs 07/11 (Sat/Sun).
Points will be 1 point for Airlines on the NAT frequencies, 2 points for all other Areas. The final score being all points added together x the total number of Air Traffic Control Areas logged (NAT A, NAT B, etc).
